Did FAKA-MA take any Maw into remand yet????

We all evidenced the so called drama in the name of cartoon recently. It’s quite interesting that after bowing down to their knees by Moti still all these mollas violently demonstrated in the streets and none of the Maws have been arrested or taken into remand for violating the emergency rules. They are the one eyed pirates of Bd, who are supporting these muslim militants and their anarcyism. FAKA-MA gongs are appraised and being led by them.

We demand immediate arrests of those whom are responsible to violate the emergency rules, who funded all these demonstartions to be held, they also should be taken to remand and put behind bars.Otherwise there will be A day when FAKA-MA will not find a hole to hide out from the people of Bd to save their girly skins.

Saptahik 2000 withdraws its Sept 21 issue!

2000.jpg

Saptahik 2000, a weekly Bangla magazine, withdrew all copies of its current issue (Eid issue/September 21, 2007) from the market.

The weekly’s management made the decision as an article was published in the issue inadvertently, says a press release issued last night by Golam Mortoza, acting editor of the weekly.

“We deeply regret publishing such an article inadvertently. At the same time we apologise for it unconditionally,” it said.

Molla Tales of MUA

When the country is being ruled by MOLLAS instead of ex World Bank people and (educated) generals, what do we get? Prothom Alo CartoonArrests and bans for stupid not funny cartoons like this. Report HERE.

News excerpt from bdnews24.com:

[The Detective Branch of Police detained daily Prothom Alo cartoonist Arifur Rahman midday Tuesday from in front of his Uttara home. The home ministry Tuesday ordered confiscation of all its copies, saying the cartoon story hurt the religious sentiment of the people. The government has already taken initiative to hold talks with religious leaders about the issue and asked all to play a restrained and responsible role regarding the unwanted incident.

Prothom Alo authorities Tuesday apologised for mistakenly publishing the cartoon and said they had withdrawn the cartoon story. ]

Reposted from E-Bangladesh

[Sushanta Das Gupta, UK]

The European Parliament has been keeping track on our current events, including the student riots, detainment of teachers, violation of Human Rights on many instances and the attack on the Press and Electronic Media.

On 6th September, the EU Parliament website released a resolution on Bangladesh. The resolution states that the EU is highly concerned about the arrest of the Ex. Prime Ministers, Freedom of Press and the re-establishment of Democracy. It calls for lifting the state of emergency, banning of political activities so that parties can prepare for the coming election.

The chief of Jolpais

The chief of Jolpais said that they would not needlessly harass the Businessmen, his comments says the other side of it.Which means they will continue to harass needlessly the politicians, University teachers and other people whom they do not like.Sometime the truth comes out but in a very funny way.I find this way of serving a country is very dangerous.

AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL PRESS RELEASE: PLOT Bangladesh

In a letter to Bangladesh’s leader, Chief Adviser Dr Fakhruddin Ahmed, Amnesty International called on the authorities to ensure that all violations reported in the context of recent student unrest are thoroughly investigated and those responsible brought to justice.

In the letter, Amnesty International refers to a newly established judicial investigation by Justice Habibur Rahman Khan which is to submit its findings to the government on 11 September 2007.

The organization calls on the government to ensure that the inquiry is fully independent, has access to all persons and information that it considers relevant to its inquiries, and is able to ensure protection of witnesses. The inquiry’s conclusions and recommendations should be made public, and the government should issue a public response indicating the steps it will take to implement recommendations made by the inquiry.

The letter from Amnesty International’s Secretary General Irene Khan comes after reports of excessive use of force by security personnel following outbreaks of violence involving student demonstrators and law enforcement personnel in Dhaka and several other cities between 20 and 22 August, 2007.

The Power of ‘Daanda’

Justice Ruhul Amin refused the Presidency. [Shuchinta reported earlier about his offer.]

However, he has a skeleton in his closet. He acquired two plots in Dhaka from Rajuk, one under his wife’s name and the second under his son’s. This was illegal since he has inherited a property in Dhaka. So “the jolpais” showed him this file and he ruled against releasing Sheikh Hasina.

Aah, the power of daanda . . .

Khaleda Jailed: Sign for More Hasina Trouble?

Khaleda Zia Arrested for CorruptionAt last former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia has been taken into custody by the joint forces early in the morning today. As The Daily Star picture shows, she seems to be at a loss of what needs to be done. Her son Arafat Rahman Koko, who looks nothing like his father, was also taken into custody for corruption charges.

This Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) (the Pakistani intelligence) orchestrated and DGFI managed current government, led by General Moeen Uddin Ahmed (Fakhruddin is just the civil face of it) has been trying to avoid arresting Khaleda Zia for several months.

But many believe that this is just a farce of an arrest. In essence, many feel that in this game of portraying neutrality, Khaleda’s arrest only means more hardship is about to come on Sheikh Hasina.
