Target: Sheikh Hasina

posted in Fakruddin & Co. |

In a bid to stop Sheikh Hasina from returning to Bangladesh, a bizzare extortion charge has been filed against Sk. Hasina.

What I found funny was this, will a sitting prime minister ask for 3 crores from a random businessman, Tajul Islam Farooq? I mean if you are going to make up something, at least make it believable. If so, how come no one has ever heard of this case before, even during the BNP-JI rule?

Clearly, this is a an attempt to prevent Sk. Hasina from returning to Bangladesh. She was scheduled to return next week so the timing should not surprise anyone.

From what I heard, not only is she returning, but returning even sooner. The more days pass, the more our generals seem to want to emulate the Pakistani model.

Well, Bangladesh is no Pakistan.

P.S. Stay tuned for more on this.

It seems like BNP-Jamat’s propaganda machineries have been revived again. We all know the political culture of BNP-Rajakars- they are always into negative politics. Their core competence is into vilifying opponents through slanderous accusations. They have been successful so far in making the nation fool by using anti-Indian sentiment and religious instigations. Now that when their disguised image have been exposed to the nation and because of their relentless corruption and misrule in the recent past the country fought back, they got into big trouble. We thought they are probably broken from their backbone.. but that’s not right, they came back with their dirty game once again.. t

I am told that the DGFI is leading the charge against Sk. Hasina.

This case was an attempt to stop her from returning to Bangladesh.

They want a Pakistani style take over.

I am told she will not only return but return sooner, probably this week.

    SalamDhaka,

Thanks for your response. What I am worried about is that this new brand of promoters of new democracy is screwing up with people’s minds? I strongly believe that they will not succeed. But, the problem is the Scars or damages that they will leave behind. Every action of this group must be countered with rational discourse.

I have just seen the news of corruption case against Sheikh Hasina. We were thinking about this from the beginning and at last the real face of the current Government in BD is revealed.

We see a real urgent need for all of us to face the situation in a very professional and well planned manner. Dr. Nasir is working on a detailed write up with fact driven conclusions about the recent situation in BD. Dr. Nasir has a number of papers and research projects about the Socio-Economic situation in BD.

In the mean time could you all please share your thoughts, advice and wishes on how we can handle the situation?

This is an attempt to try to scaring her away from returning. Do you really think a sitting PM is going to extort money from a unknown businessman while she is in power?

How come the past government did not file this case if it was so true? Don’t be surprised if you see more cases being field.

From my information, Sk. Hasina will return even sooner now ( probably this week) to Bangladesh. I am also told that this is a DGFI plan, which as you know, is a pro ISI group.

listen, guys… if shuchinta is going to establish itself as a credible platform for dispassionate/objective exchanges, u need to get over your political bias… when there is a case filed against tarique or bnp (or khaleda, assuming one will be filed against her shortly), there’s euphoria… but when a case is filed against hasina, this is double standard… i know shuchinta is backed by a pro-al think-tank close to one side of the political divide… of course, hasina deserves the right to defend herself and she is innocent until proven guilty. i personally think hasina is cleaner than her counterparts in bnp, but having said that, shuchinta should not show such ostensible bias. such doublestandards do not augur well at all.

I do agree that the situation is getting out of control. In the name of getting rid of corruption, the present government is trying to establish an autocratic regime with backig from the army. We must protest their evil designs. It is my understanding that they think BNP is not going to be an obstacle any more for them. The only obstacle they have is Awami League. So, they are trying to suppress AL by implicating Sheikh Hasina. They are out to propagate fabricated stories. We need to protest and start writing against the sophist-army alliance.
